When it comes to weight loss surgery, the best place to start is educating yourself, and participating in a comprehensive pre-op evaluation.

We want you to understand all that’s involved in the initial stages of bariatric surgery, to help ensure your long-term success. Our team will explain the entire bariatric surgery process and schedule an appointment to get you started.

Start Your Weight Loss Surgery by Attending a Mandatory FREE Information Session

At our free information sessions you’ll meet members of our bariatrics team, be able to ask questions, and learn all about the bariatric process. The session is meant to be a comfortable way to hear about the available procedures and lifestyle changes that are required to achieve long-term weight loss. Please feel free to bring friends and loved ones.

Your “Before Surgery Process” Also Includes:

Insurance approval

Many insurance policies cover bariatric surgery, as long as you meet specified criteria. Our insurance liaisons assist you with the approval process required by an insurance carrier.

Please note, Einstein Bariatrics cannot predict whether your surgery will be approved.

Final consultation

Two weeks before surgery you will have a consultation to review the consent form, preoperative diet and any additional preoperative testing.

Bariatric Surgery: Your first step toward a healthy new life

The benefits of bariatric surgery go way beyond just shedding a few pounds. Things change. Life changes. People who have had bariatric surgery live longer than those of a similar age that have chosen not to have surgery. They experience fewer co-morbidities (including cardiovascular disease, sleep apnea, asthma and diabetes) and BMI (Body Mass Index) than those who have not had surgery. Einstein Bariatrics can help answer any bariatric surgery questions you may have.
